Speaking recently to Call It What You Want podcast, Griffin Yow revealed his mentality and ambitions.
“I’m now a regular starter in Belgium and scoring goals. It’s great, I’m achieving things I dreamed of before becoming a pro or even just a year ago,” he said.
“But is that what I want my ceiling to be? No. I want to play in World Cups and Champions Leagues. I want to have no roof. I can’t be satisfied with what I’m doing here.”
Yow is now a regular for Belgian midtable side Westerlo, but his ideal next move would be to Belgian giants Club Brugge.
“Brugge really stood out for me. This is the team that is unbelievable with their style of play,” he said.
“If I can make the step to a team like that, it’d be great. I would be constantly challenged.”
“I’d have constant competition week in and week out. It’s a team everyone in Belgium is afraid of. It’s a team battling in Champions League, Europa League, or Conference League.”
