For AAPI Heritage Month, we’ve teamed up with geraldfermin to spotlight a new local Filipino business in SOMA’s Filipino Cultural District, thesarapshop. From humble beginnings hosting vegan kamayans in their apartment to opening their food truck, their own brick-and-mortar space, a spot on the 6th floor at Chase Center, and now their new headquarters on 171 Stillman Street, they have had quite a journey. All the dishes on their menu are inspired by people they love and cook for. But the most impressive and creative item on their menu, and also hella popular, is the lechon sisig carbonara.
