Today, I had the honor of watching my film, The Beauty of Being Deaf, play in theaters as a part of NYC’s largest LGBTQ+ film festival, Newfest. To be alongside such an incredible group of queer films, unfiltered, held such joy and healing for me. I ALSO found out it the film appeared in Time Square! 🙇🏻‍♂️ If only I could show my younger self that their dreams of sharing the beauty of disability ended up on the big screen… Thank you, newfest !
