Piper Lujan and Sami Edwards have been rewarded for their efforts off the field with First Team Academic All-Conference honors by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference as announced Thursday. Lujan, a native of Gilbert, Arizona has been at the forefront of the Cougars progression as a program since her freshman year, and she is once again a force to be reckoned with in her senior year. She currently has 43 RBI on 13 homers and 45 total hits. The History Education major holds a 3.862 Grade Point Average as she leads her team on and off the field. Edwards leads the Cougars in a variety of areas, batting .500 with a school record 10 triples on the year and 75 hits with 38 runs batted in. The junior boasts an impressive 3.944 GPA in accounting as she excels in all aspects of being a student-athlete.
