Since the days of his youth, Iowa Defensive Back, Dane Belton dbelton_ has always had a heart for helping children in need. The importance of giving assistance to kids is something Dane knows all too well, as he himself had to spend time in a children’s hospital at just 13 months old due to a severe allergic reaction. With this in mind, Dane recently began his own #4TheKids campaign, an initiative aiming to bring awareness and support to our very own kids at University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital uichildrens. As a part of this campaign, Dane created the world’s 1st ever NIL superhero, THE GREAT DANE, who has become a symbol of hope and optimism for children in Iowa, as well as around the country.
