#seniorshoutout Jacob aka “Mr. Heilman” is a fantastic teammate. Jacob constantly seeks to help his teammates and boat mates succeed. Apart from his hard work on the water, his post practice pushup routine might be the most impressive thing to witness. #gains Providing insight and knowledge during car rides was an important part of Jacob’s role as a leader on this team and exemplified his goals of helping everyone to succeed. Jacob started his rowing career as a sophomore on the novice team, where he won gold at WMIRA in the Novice 4. In the same season, Jacob was promoted to Varsity. Following the 2022 season, Jacob went to a Wisconsin rowing camp (who knew that’s where he’d end up) and hit 1 million meters for the first time going into his junior year. On the erg, Jacob added his name to the sub 22 club heading into Florida Training 2023 and medaled at Erg Sprints in the same month.
