As we prepare to celebrate the life of our beloved 27th National President on Friday, February 4, 2022, join us throughout the week to reflect on her life and legacy. Soror Cheryl A. Hickmon was initiated into Delta Sigma Theta in 1982 through the Alpha Xi Chapter at South Carolina State University. Her dedication to Delta was apparent early on and led her to become Alpha Xi Chapter President (1983-1984) and South Atlantic Regional Representative (1984-1986). Understanding the importance of being committed beyond college, Soror Hickmon returned to her home of Hartford after graduating in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Biology and immediately transitioned to the Hartford Alumnae Chapter, where she remained an active member throughout her lifetime. #DST1913 #HickmonLegacy #WeAreDST
