LANCASTER 10-11-21: LASD Lancaster deputies called in aid from SCV, Lost Hills/Malibu, CV/Altadena, West Hollywood and SEB in order to conclude a multiple gunshot wound hostage situation at a restaurant overnight. The 4 hour barricade began with deputies arriving on scene and finding 2 gunshot wound victims, one security guard and another a worker at the restaurant. Both were transported. The suspect barricaded himself and his girlfriend, believed to be a hostage, in the restaurant and refused to come out. SEB was able to make contact with the female, who stated she was also shot. SEB and deputies made entry into the location, locating the female with a non life threatening gunshot wound. The male suspect was found deceased with a gunshot wound to the chest.
