2 brush fires in 1 day ••• GORMAN 7-31-21: A pickup truck fire spread to nearby brush on the shoulder of the NB 5 freeway. Crews worked from the air and ground to fight the fire which was capped at about 15 acres. Everyone in the car was able to escape safely. HUNGRY VALLEY: A 3rd alarm fire broke out inside the Hungry Valley Rec area as crews were battling the Gorman freeway fire. Units arrived on scene to what was originally a 10x10 spot which was now a large brush fire that continued to run.
