NEWHALL PASS 1-7-21 “WELDON IC”: A brush fire erupted off the Old Road just north of the 5/14 Freeway split. Originally reported as an acre running uphill, the fire quickly spread due to a slight wind. The fire’s forward progress was stopped approximately an hour after it began, the ending acreage at approximately 10 acres.
