July 8, 2020 PIRU: Naya Rivera, GLEE star and once Santa Clarita resident, is missing and feared deceased, after her son was found on a boat alone on Lake Piru. Her son told investigators that him and Rivera went swimming on the lake, and that he returned to the boat and she did not. A large operation is now underway to try to find Rivera, in a now "recovery" mission. This week, sheriff's personnel, boats, divers, helicopters, and aerial vehicles searched the lake for hours. Resources have been called in from multiple agencies, including the US Coast Guard. Sonar equiptment has been used as well, all in hopes of recovering Rivera. Audio in the video is the 911 call made that alerted authorities of the child alone on the rented boat.
