Let’s kick off #TrafficTuesday. It’s only appropriate that you meet your local motors! Our Traffic Bureau not only consists of motors, but there’s also traffic deputies in patrol vehicles conducting enforcement, traffic cadets, and civilian report writers. For 2022, our bureau was responsible for investigating 1,046 collisions 😱 The number #1 cause of these collisions, was a violation of California Vehicle Code 22107 (Unsafe Lane Changes), which states: “No person shall turn a vehicle from a direct course or move right or left upon a roadway until such movement can be made with reasonable safety and then only after the giving of an appropriate signal in the manner provided in this chapter in the event any other vehicle may be affected by the movement.” ↪️ Stay safe out there, and let’s all do our part in practicing safer driving skills that get us home safely! 🚗 #vcso #thousandoakspd
