“I knew they had a flexible schedule so that I could focus on schoolwork, so that’s kinda what it allows me to do… They allow you to put school first and I think that’s important.” Dylan Folda, a Fisheries and Wildlife major, first took his job as a student worker at the East Campus Dining Hall for its flexible schedule and proximity to his dorm. It wasn’t till after he started working that he realized the job had the potential to help him in his career. “I learned how to be personable and interact with people. You get to know people on campus and that helps with social skills.” While Folda said the position doesn’t directly relate to the careers he aspires to have.
