Meet this week’s #FeatureFriday Ryan Le!⚪️🔴⁠ Ryan is an incoming senior at UNL, majoring in Software Engineering. Unfortunately, his initial summer internship was canceled because of COVID-19. However, using his network, he was able to land a second internship last minute at Nelnet! He says his favorite part of his experience has been switching gears and being able to learn brand new skills in these strange times. The transition to remote work has been nothing but beneficial to myself as an engineer as I can spend additional time sharpening all-new skills from the comfort of my own home.⁠ ⁠ Ryan says, “Put yourself out there and speak with employers. Never stop networking - you never know how even brief connections like these might come in handy in the future.”⁠ ⁠ Ryan hopes to spend a few years as a web developer after graduation, focusing on technologies such as MongoDB, Express, React, and Node.js.
