Doctoral Student Studies Video Game Music in Career Inspired by Atari โฌ๏ธ
At four years old, Aaron Vaders-Collins of
@mgsarutgers began playing video games on an Atari 2600, testing his talents with early-'80s classics such as Pitfall! and Adventure. Vaders-Collins later began recreating the games' music by ear and writing his own arrangements as a self-taught guitarist. A lifelong love for video game music was established.
โIf you grew up playing video games and you also play an instrument, you donโt initially think, video game music should be where I go in life,โ says Vaders-Collins. โBut over time it just kind of inches in that direction.โ
