hey friends! quick life update for those interested :) i injured my foot/ankle during my fall at Olympic Trials…of the issues most seriously i fractured my navicular bone (a bone that gets no blood so is a 🤬to heal) sooo i will be having surgery tomorrow here in Vail to put in a screw to help heal the stubborn thing! while this is definitely not the news i was hoping for i am SUPER thankful my fracture is in the “right” spot and the recovery timeline is looking speedier than initially expected🏃🏽‍♀️ready to get this thing fixed and get to work in rehab and the pool very very soon🏊🏽‍♀️👀 - big thanks to my sports med fam at uga for treating me until i left, usatf for getting me x-rayed immediately and connecting me with a specialist, and my surgeon Dr. Haytmanek for taking my case and coming up with a plan that gets me back faster, see you tomorrow!! #Hisplan #DelayedNotDenied #LetsDoThis
