STOP AND SMELL THE ROSES: What a fabulous weekend it was as several colts secured a spot in the May 6 Kentucky Derby (G1) after the conclusion of nationwide racing April 8 including #TapitTrice who turned back #Verifying in the Blue Grass Stakes (G1) keeneland, #PracticalMove who defeated Japanese contender #MandarinHero and #Skinner in the Santa Anita Derby (G1) santaanitapark, and 59-1 longshot #LordMiles who prevailed in the Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct Racetrack. Other winners on Saturday included 2022 champion female sprinter #GoodnightOlive who took the Madison Stakes (G1) in her return to the Lexington oval after the Breeders’ Cup last November, and #Doppelganger who rallied in the stretch for a win in the Carter Handicap (G1) at Aqueduct. 📸: 1.
