On April 26, senior Adrian Shiguango-Holtz signed to confirm his commitment to Roanoke College for track. Shiguango-Holtz signed alongside seniors Josie Blackwell and David Herring, who have all been teammates for track and cross country for several years. Shiguango-Holtz had already officially committed to Roanoke College, but went to the signing to show his support for his teammates. “Josie said she wanted me and David to come to her signing,” Shiguango-Holtz said. “So I showed up and signed, too.” Shiguango-Holtz said he had been searching for a school that aligned with his interests, and when he found Roanoke College it was a perfect fit. “I wanted to run and study actuarial science, and they had both of those,” he said. “I know not a lot of people go on to college and continue running, so I’m feeling good about that.” Photos by Maggie Mass and Adele Seeboth.
