Mallory Knox, Slam Dunk Festival 2024 REVIEW: Mallory Knox at Slam Dunk. It just makes sense, you know? Yet, who would have anticipated seeing them in these surroundings again so swiftly? Five years on from their split and seven years on from their last performance with vocalist Mikey Chapman, this return to such a special haunt for them feels like no time has passed at all. The same can be said for the bumper crowd, all relishing in the fact that these huge rock songs have their pride of place once more. And what songs they are, with ‘Ghost In The Mirror’ and ‘Shout At The Moon’ feeling more gigantic than ever before, whilst early rarity ‘Oceans’ is met with a flurry of excitement that rolls the years back instantly. With a tour pencilled in for October celebrating ten years of ‘Asymmetry’, this isn’t just a blink-and-miss-it reunion.
