The All-American Rejects, Slam Dunk Festival 2024 REVIEW: Ten years ago, The All-American Rejects headlined Slam Dunk when it was still an indoor mainstay at Leeds and Hatfield universities. A lot has changed for both the festival and the band in the years since, but being reunited shows how much both sides have grown in that time. The result is a chaotic, crushing and gritty run-through of their whole adventure to date. ‘Swing, Swing’ and ‘My Paper Heart’ take things back to the roots while the still scintillating ‘Sweat’ gets the pulses racing. However, it’s when band and crowd become one, with a stirring ‘It Ends Tonight’ and glorious ‘Move Along’, the years really start to melt away.
