My college experience was fully shaped by the Carolina Band and my time in the school of music. Without the mighty sound I wouldn't have been a gamecock. I lived vicariously through cole.fender when I didn't make the drumline, and everyone welcomed me in as if I had that next year. I've been a retired band kid for a bit now, but the carolinabanddrumline has brought me lifelong friendships, and the program still is home. I've hit a wall in writing this bc I don't want to be overly sappy, but these guys are my best friends and I don't know what the last 3 years would have looked like without them (and also the whole cbdl gang).
