If you’re looking to swap or get new things in NYC without buying anything, this video is for you! ♻️ Here are a few resources I’ve found helpful: 1️⃣ SWAPS: Go to an organized swap. The most consistent ones are Stop’N’Swaps by GrowNYC which happen across boroughs. You don’t need to bring something to take something but it’s a great way to donate & get something new. There’s also popupswapx, nastynewyorkers once a month & NYC for FREE has hosted a few (should we do another?!) You can also join the NYC for FREE discord for freebie swaps 2️⃣ BUY NOTHING GROUPS: Every neighborhood has a buy nothing group on Facebook where you can either post items you are in need of, or items you want to give away. You can only join one group in your neighborhood. I’ve given away a ton of freebies in mine and even borrowed a folding table for an event plus I’ve seen people fully furnish an apartment through this!
