The Class of ‘76 came to campus during sixth period on May 20 and awarded scholarships to three Class of 2024 standouts: Iris Perez, Itzel Perez and Lexi Ramos. Iris Perez said that the scholarship she received will help her achieve her dream of being a teacher. “I love kids, and teaching lets you interact with them and also teach them,” said Perez, who will attend ACC in the fall. Itzel Perez said the scholarship will help her pay her tuition at UT San Antonio. “I’m grateful for this award as it recognizes the hard work I put into my essay,” she said. Ramos will put her scholarship to use to help pay for her fall tuition at Texas State. MacJ joins the Class of 1976 and college and career counselor Camille Nix in congratulating these three seniors on their scholarships and the hard work it took to attain them.
