Communities are leading climate action ✊ ⁣ ⁣ Members of the El Bosque community from Tabasco, Mexico, are speaking today before the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (IACtHR) in Manaus, Brazil to demand climate justice! 🌍💬 ⁣ ⁣ For over five years the El Bosque community has experienced the severe impacts of the climate crisis. Over 60 families have been displaced by sea level rise and coastal erosion. The Advisory Opinion from the IACtHR could clarify the obligations of States and corporations under international and human rights law. ⁣ ⁣ Impacted communities, civil society organisations, scientists and academics are sharing their demands at the IACtHR.
