This is what an empty nester looks like? When I had my first baby girl at 23 I threw myself into motherhood with all my heart. At the time so many friends were traveling the world and partying like teenage movie stars; while I was changing diapers and cleaning spit up off my clothes. I remember feeling the overwhelm, feeling alone, and also feeling the joy of holding a precious baby. Feeling the joy that only a mother knows. Now 20 years later my youngest baby girl has graduated and I am left wondering what I do now. I guess it’s time for me. It’s time for me to travel the world and it’s time for me to take the jobs I never could take before because my beautiful girls were always the priority. It’s time for me.
