Lawrence Barasa Kiharangwa (pictured here playing Hoffmann in last winter’s production of Les Contes de Hoffmann), a tenor student of Dr. Karen Esquival, has been selected as a finalist in the Artist Division of the National Opera Association’s (NOA) 2020 Carolyn Bailey and Dominick Argento Vocal Competition. He is one of 10 finalists selected in this division. The finals will be held on January 11, 2020 at the Hilton Cleveland Downtown in Cleveland, Ohio.
