At the beginning of January, the SOMD helped host the Oregon Music Educators Association Conference at the downtown Hilton. Many of our faculty members presented at the conference. D. presented "Music Education in Transition: Providing Support for Transgender Music Students" to a standing room only crowd. OMEA is a joint opportunity for educators to further their professional development and an opportunity for Oregon students to participate in All-State performance ensembles.
