New mural @hooverhuskies01 👨🏼‍🎨 Big love to Principal Kelly and Morgan Schoneberg for letting me paint this! I worked with a group of students to come up with the design and some of them helped paint. Principal Kelly wanted me to incorporate “We are inclusive community schools shaping a thriving NW side” on it. I played around with shapes and positive imagery. The mural starts with freshman coming in. In the center I created an image depicting a safe space and people hugging each other. I wanted this to represent kids accepting each other for who they are and never forgetting to be yourself. It’s important to pass that message along. The pink blossom tree was a student favorite so we had to include it. The kids under the tree are upperclassmen spreading love, knowledge and wisdom with one another. At the end we have the ultimate goal of graduating and preparing yourself for the next chapter. This was such a fun mural to paint, I’m super thankful for this opportunity. Thank ...
