We are honored that Mary Smith, the first Native American woman to serve as president of the AmericanBarAssociation, chose to visit TU's College of Law as her first official trip in her new role. She visited Greenwood_Rising, the Cherokee Freedmen exhibit at the okcenterforhumanities, and the offices of The Oklahoma Eagle, a Tulsa-based Black-owned newspaper. Then, Smith spoke to law students about her work in artificial intelligence regulations and the importance of learning about the relationship between federal, state and local governments and tribal governments. #utulsa #tulsa #blackwallstreet #law #lawyer #lawschool #government #nativeamerican #government #oklahoma
