Next week, on a new episode of the Team Deakins Podcast, we’re speaking with actor Paul Schneider (BRIGHT STAR, THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES, GEORGE WASHINGTON). Growing up in a small town in North Carolina, Paul shares how working in film and television never crossed his mind despite his early love for cinema. Attending film school following the encouragement and support of a high school teacher, Paul studied editing but found himself frequently cast in his friends’ short films. Paul later acted in GEORGE WASHINGTON with those same friends, including director David Gordon Green, and has been steadily working ever since. Throughout the episode, Paul shares the life he’s had as an actor on a myriad of films, and we spend some time reflecting on JESSE JAMES and our experiences working together. It was great catching up with Paul.
