Next Wednesday, visual effects supervisor Pablo Helman (KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON, THE IRISHMAN, JARHEAD) joins us on the newest episode of the Team Deakins Podcast. We worked with Pablo on JARHEAD, and it was a joy catching up with him. Born in Argentina, Pablo pursued a music career in his youth which entailed a deal with RCA Records and several South American tours. Later graduating from UCLA with a degree in music composition, Pablo, naturally technically-gifted, found himself working in editing and compositing at a number of effects houses until landing at Industrial Light & Magic where, for the past 27 years, he’s since worked.
