On Wednesday, director Ryan White (GOOD NIGHT OPPY, THE KEEPERS, ASSASSINS) sits down with us for a conversation on his career in documentary filmmaking. Ryan shares how GOOD OL’ FREDA evolved from a family film to one of his early successes and how he received approval from all four Beatles estates to use their music in the film, an unprecedented feat at the time. Ryan reflects on being at the forefront of the docuseries boom of recent years and thanks former Netflix executive Lisa Nishimura for believing in THE KEEPERS from the first pitch. Later, we get the scoop on the sequel to THE KEEPERS, and Ryan discusses how he and his producing partner Jessica Hargrave have typically sold their projects to distributors with frequent success.
Hear more from Ryan later this week!
