All I can say is I met Roger Deakins and his stunning wife, James Deakins, yesterday and to be perfectly honest... it hasn't fully hit me. This man...he is one of the greatest artists of all time. His work-mindblowing. It was one of the best days of my life. Buy his book Byways and if you haven't seen his films-which at this point is impossible- but if you haven't, you should. I also got to see the fabulous work of Sabine Weiss...the WOMAN WAS A MASTERMIND.
