Another image from the making of the film "1917". Here we are in No Man's Land - it was VERY muddy. I don't think I've ever experienced so much mud in my life! We had to leave our boots outside when we came home at night. It seemed pointless to try to clean them. And throughout the day, the amount of mud on your boots grew and grew so you were dragging along more and more weight.
