In tomorrow's episode, Team Deakins speaks with sound designer Mark Mangini! In this episode, we dive into Mark's work on Mad Max: Fury Road and Blade Runner 2049. We learn that Mark always starts a project with what he calls a sound script– his narrative of the film and how sound tells that story. He tells us that some of his best days are when he is out alone in the ocean or desert giggling to himself while listening to sounds he collects and how his job is more difficult on animation films.
