Teen climate activist gretathunberg is filing for a trademark to prevent people and companies from misusing her name and the name of the global movement she launched. The trademark would cover her own name as well as “Fridays for Future” and “Skolstrejk för klimatet” (School Strike for Climate), the phrase written on the sign that jump-started her activism. The 17-year-old said her name and the #FridaysForFuture movement are “constantly being used for commercial purposes without any consent whatsoever,” according to an Instagram post.
