A protester from the global environmental movement Extinction Rebellion climbed scaffolding on one of London’s most famous landmarks, the Big Ben clock tower, on Friday. The man, identified by the group as tree surgeon Ben Atkinson, was reportedly wearing a costume and a blond wig resembling Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s distinctive hairstyle. Extinction Rebellion demonstrators, who are intent on forcing government action on ecological breakdown, have wreaked havoc in the British capital this week.
