Millions of Ethiopians participated in a reforestation campaign, planting more than 350 million trees in 12 hours on Monday 🌲🌳🌴 Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, above planting a seedling, announced on Twitter that the country had far exceeded its “collective #GreenLegacy goal” of 200 million trees in one day. The national tree-planting campaign aims to plant 4 billion trees during the rainy season — between May and October — the prime minister said.
