Instagram will NEVER DM you a message. All notifications of policy violations will be seen as a popup notification within the Instagram app itself. Do you ever notice that when these scammers send you an “official notice from Instagram” that it lands in your SPAM folder? 2. Sometimes emails are sent from scammers that look like they’re coming from Facebook or Instagram. Again, any violations or official warnings will always be seen WITHIN the app itself. Never click on links in these emails!
