#SummerSpotlight: Hunter Kosco ‘21 worked with Intex solutions within their Asset Backed Securities team. Hunter worked mostly with subprime mortgages and aircraft loans, coding software that autonomously pulled data out of bond reports. This data is crucial for the company to use in order to create an accurate model of the current state of the bonds, along with a detailed calculation of how they will pay out in the future. A larger project he worked on included creating a bond calculator for a 650 million dollar Merrill Lynch agency deal. This will allow Merrill Lynch to see their projected cash flow, and track the success of the deal over time. This internship has provided a chance for Hunter to gain exposure to the field of consumer finance and computer science.
