In roughly 2 years, Mecklenburg County will be home to the Umbrella Center, a one-stop shop that will provide a multitude of services for victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, elder abuse, child abuse and human trafficking. Through the collaboration of several partners, including the Centene Foundation, WellCare, @safe_alliance and @patsplacecac, the Umbrella Center is sure to provide hope and healing for those who come through the door. Today during the announcement, Sheriff McFadden @sugarfreetalk stood alongside the organizations in attendance feeling proud his agency also played a role in bringing The Umbrella Center to life.
