One of my longest friends (@julia_katrina ) and her mama threw me the most beautiful Bridal Shower. I mean the details were SO perfect. The theme was 🩷Blush and Bashful🩷, a nod to one of our favorite films, Steel Magnolias, in which the bride-to-be’s signature color is PINK, and therefore her wedding colors match it. So Julia and friends tied pink ribbons around a BEAUTIFUL Victorian house in Boulder, @neely_rettig crafted a balloon arch with magnolia flowers tucked in (of COURSE), @al__mccarty sent cookies all in pink and with an armadillo (if you haven’t seen the movie, YOU GOTTA), and many other lovely women from throughout my life showered me in ways I couldn’t imagine. I felt so seen and known. As I was unwrapping the very thoughtful gifts from my pals, our host went to the door. And in walked in my sweet lil fiancé with flowers (and he was even wearing pink!).
