So many amazing Veteran organizations, groups and individuals that UA has had the privilege to work with over the years. Today, we honor all of the women and men through the story of a very special friend to UA and me personally – Captain Chad Fleming, who on October 3, 2005, when deployed in Mosul, Iraq while leading his unit, engaged in a fire fight and was shot in the leg by enemy combatants. In and out of consciousness at the Combat Support Hospital preparing for surgery, he asked the nurse who’d taken scissors to get his uniform off - to not cut his Under Armour BoxerJocks. On what became known as his “Alive Day,” Capt. Chad ultimately lost his leg - but continued to honorably serve his country. We are so appreciative of all of our Vets - and Capt. Chad whose actual battlefield BoxerJocks hang outside the UA Boardroom at our HQ in Baltimore. We salute all of those incredible women and men for your bravery, and the sacrifices you have made to protect our freedom. Happy Veterans...
