Thank you Town of Kensington for honoring, Jayne Harper Plank with the dedication of the renovated, Kensington Cabin - which was the heart of the park where I played and learned sports growing up. Restoring what was the place for young & old in my town, but sat dormant for the last 27 years....There will be a new home base for all those K-town kids and of course, a place to play basketball, on the swings or Capture the Flag! As the first female Mayor of Kensington in 1974, serving 4 terms making our community better before heading to the State Department where she proudly served and led for 10 years - all the while raising FIVE boys. This Super Woman needs no cape. Congratulations on your honor, Mom - our hometown is lucky to have had all of your Love & Leadership (I know that I was!)
