Congxiao is currently a cook in a cold kitchen. She was a part of Project SEARCH, an Employment Program at Holland Bloorview, where she learned employability skills and gained hands-on work experience geared to in-demand roles in the local labour market. Her piece of advice to employers is “Don't be afraid to give [people with disabilities] a challenge. They will want to learn new stuff daily. The staff at Holland Bloorview and at Project SEARCH always gave me challenges.
