#ImagineEverybody aims to create a world that embraces disability and possibility. In a society that predominately favours those don’t live with a disability, it’s important we talk about
#ableism to pave the way for a more inclusive and accessible world for all.
What is ableism?
Ableism is discrimination towards someone based on their abilities, often favouring those who do not have a disability and seeing less value in those that do.
Disability is not always visible. Disability can be physical, intellectual, behavioural, affect mental health, or involve other medical complexities
In a survey we conducted in July 2022, we found that 10% respondents have seen examples of technological, social or systemic disability inclusion in their most recent school or educational institution.
