When he was 19 years old, Andrew did a co-op placement at the Holland Bloorview Foundation through projectsearchTO, a school-to-work transition program for youth with developmental disabilities in their final year of high school. Today, Andrew is the stewardship and administration assistant at the Holland Bloorview Foundation. “My experience with Project SEARCH helped my career by teaching me life skills for the workplace. My favourite part of Project SEARCH was learning new skills and [meeting] new people. I am using my skills at the Foundation by being on time, wearing professional clothes and having manners. What I LOVE most about the Holland Bloorview Foundation is that we are a FAMILY and we help kids with disabilities.”
