#WhereAmIWednesday, we’re in Honduras with Students 4 Public Health (S4PH). S4PH is an undergraduate student organization that seeks to improve public health, promote individual well-being, and eliminate health disparities across San Diego and around the world. Last month, the group took a trip to El Bailadero, Honduras focused on addressing critical public health challenges.
Throughout their stay, they engaged in a variety of activities, including:
▪️Implementing sanitation solutions to improve access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities.
▪️Outlining health education workshops to raise awareness about hygiene practices, disease prevention, and the importance of seeking medical care.
▪️Constructing an intrinsic self-sustaining community garden to keep money and jobs within the community.
