Don’t get me wrong, I was terrified with the idea of packing my bags and taking off to unknown places all alone. But it came to the point where I didn’t want to keep waiting for someone else and I had so much excitement to finally go out and do something I’ve always wanted to pursue. What helped prevent myself from getting lonely was reaching out to people of similar interest prior to arriving at certain destinations. This took away so many fears of being lonely and some of these people are some of my closest friends till this day. Yes, there is beauty in sharing an experience with someone else but solo traveling is something I encourage everyone to try at least once in their lives.
