When I gave in my 2-week notice, I had no idea where I was planning on going. All I knew was that I wanted to travel the world. I ended up booking a last minute ticket to San Francisco with absolutely no plan, didn’t know anyone there, and had never been to SF before. But what I did know was that I had the burning desire to create.
Following this non-conventional route was scary. I was nervous sh*tless. Surfed on too many couches. Didn’t really know how I was going to financially support myself. But this was a life I wanted so bad. Fighting through endless silent battles and accepting the number of people who didn’t support me, I look back and couldn’t have been more thankful for continuing to fight for myself.
We all have dreams, wants, and desires — but how many of us actually get around to turning our dreams into reality? I PROMISE you’re not going to have all the answers in the beginning but as long as you have grit and are open to the idea of life unfolding, you can only go up. ...
