When I gave in my 2-week notice, I had no idea where I was planning on going. All I knew was that I wanted to travel the world. I ended up booking a last minute ticket to San Francisco with absolutely no plan, didn’t know anyone there, and had never been to SF before. But what I did know was that I had the burning desire to create. Following this non-conventional route was scary. I was nervous sh*tless. Surfed on too many couches. Didn’t really know how I was going to financially support myself. But this was a life I wanted so bad. Fighting through endless silent battles and accepting the number of people who didn’t support me, I look back and couldn’t have been more thankful for continuing to fight for myself.
